A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in education, Sophia combines her passion for teaching with her lifelong dedication to equestrian sport. Her ability to connect with riders—especially young athletes—creates a learning environment where patience, clarity, and encouragement build both skill and confidence.

A graceful and effective rider, Sophia has extensive experience in the Hunter/Jumper world, bringing a correct and polished style to every horse she rides. Whether she’s introducing beginners to their first canter or refining advanced techniques, she upholds GGEC’s high standards of horsemanship and training, always putting the well-being of the horse first. Her calm, supportive presence fosters trust, helping riders push past challenges and reach new milestones.
