Riding: With guided instruction, campers will learn to steer, control, and ride a horse independently. They will practice their skills in both our indoor and outdoor arenas, focusing on the basics of English riding. We’ll even incorporate fun games on horseback! Additionally, campers will explore our 60+ acres of wooded and grass trails on guided rides. No experience is necessary-this camp is designed for beginners!

Arts & Crafts: Each day, campers will create equine-themed crafts, such as horseshoe dream catchers, picture frames with photos from camp, and tie-dyed GGEC camp t-shirts!

Equine Education: Campers will learn the essentials of equine care, from grooming and bathing horses to wrapping legs and basic vet care. They’ll also observe our farrier at work and explore topics like nutrition, anatomy, and horse colors/breeds. These sessions focus on building basic skills and fostering a strong bond between horse and rider.

End of the Day: At the close of each session, campers will assist with untacking, grooming, and bathing the horses before they head home for the day.

How to Prepare:

  • Attire: Long pants and boots with a heel.

  • Essentials: Water bottle, snacks, and sunblock.

  • Meals: Packed lunch (insulated lunch coolers recommended).

  • Safety: ASTM Certified helmets will be provided.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy: A $250 non-refundable deposit is required. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 14 days of the registered session start date.
