Summer 2025: 3-Day Camp (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
Riding: With guidance and instruction we will learn how to steer, control and ride a horse independently. Campers will get to put their skills to use, both in our indoor or outdoor arenas. Our rides will focus on learning the basics of English riding and we will even play games on horseback! Participants will additionally get to explore our 60+ acres of wooded and grass trails on guided rides. No experience is necessary, this is a beginner-oriented camp!
Arts + Crafts: Campers will get to create equine related crafts each day. Crafts include horse shoe dream catchers, picture frames with photos from camp, and GGEC tie-dyed camp t-shirts!
Equine Education: To deepen our understanding and skills, campers will learn the important aspects of equine care. From grooming and bathing horses to wrapping their legs and basic vet care. Campers will also get to see our farrier work on shoeing horses as well as learn about nutrition, anatomy, and colors/breeds. These segments of our camp day focuses on the basic skills while fostering the bond between horse and rider.
